Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia, Governor Elect, Benue State Nigeria has been berated online for Customizing his SUV following his recent victory at the governorship polls on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
The cleric who ran under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has been accused of being power hungry.

“In my view – This is one Early distress signs that this Rev Father just wants power and may not know what to do with it.
Just like the outgoing Presidency in Abuja and outgoing Gov. of Benue state.
May God in his infinite mercies help Benue state”.
Another citizen mused that “It’s second Benue people are voting for a rev, fr. They would have gone back to history to know how far the other rev, fr performed. Although they may not be the same. The ex gov rev, fr Adasu didn’t performed much. Spent much time building the biggest govt house in Nigeria”.
Also, one twitter user said “Lol. You expect d Rev FR to be different? I would want him to pull a surprise nd be a great gov! But I’m sure he won’t. One sign is that contesting in an election is against d canonical requirement of his vocation, nd to hv disobeyed that already showed a problem somewhere”!
Another Nigerian tackled APC and said “Who becomes a Governor thru APC and does right? Please educate me. Have you seen one?”
