Nollywood Actor, Yul Edochie, on Tuesday, replied skit maker, Debo Adedayo aka Mr Macaroni’s assertion that Politicians buy vote to invest and recoup after winning the election. He said that, Nigerians are the ones who demand money from politicians.
Mr Macaroni had earlier advised Nigerians to avoid politicians who offer them money in exchange for their votes, claiming that they would not serve them, when they get into office.
In his tweet he said “Any politician offering you money in exchange for your money vote is not going to serve you. They are only investing. If they get into office, they will loot the Nation’s treasury which rightfully belongs to the people.
Do not vote in thieves and looters!
They are destroyers.
Quoting his tweet, the actor countered that he used to think that politicians were the ones offering money until he got into politics and realized people were the ones demanding money.
Edochie said, “I used to think it’s the politicians that offer money until I joined politics and ran for office.
“My eyes opened.
It’s mainly the people that demand money from the politicians and put them in a tight corner where they must find money by all means to share or fail.”
