Founder of the African Movie Academy Awards, and prolific Nigerian filmmaker, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, is dead.
According to reports, she died in Lagos after being in a coma since Saturday at ST Nicholas Hospital.
Her passing was confirmed by her colleague, Obi Emelonye,via his Instagram account on Tuesday.
Peace Anyiam-Osigwe was not only a pillar of the entertainment industry in Nigeria, but a renowned filmmaker and founder of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA). Her death came as a rude shock to the African Entertainment Industry and to Nigeria.
