Job Title: QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Location: Lagos
Salary: #125,000
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Analyze completed projects to determine ROl and compare cost
• Present detailed information on the cost of particular elements of the project periodically to enable payment for those works carried out to date.
• Preparing budgets before the execution of each project and reviewing regularly for adherence and diligent appropriation.
Preparation of Claims, Bills of Quantity, Valuations, and Taking Off for projects.
• Scrutinizing personnel and material costs in contracts to ensure the best deals.
• Liaising with Internal Auditors, Procurement managers, and Project Administrators
• Reviewing construction documentation and preparing material schedules as required.
• Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other related documents as required.
• Utilize software to calculate, record, and track inventory and estimates.
• Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
• Act as financial advisor and monitor projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Degree in quantity surveying, construction engineering, management, or related field
• Minimum of 3 year’s experience as a quality surveyor in the construction industry
• In-depth understanding of construction, materials, pricing, and industry
• Negotiation skills
• Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use/ learn how to use specialist software
• Able to interpret and analyze financial records and apply data to improve the result
